Town buildings are closed to the public effective immediately. If you have urgent business within a specific department you may make an appointment by calling 609-567-4300 x105. There is a drop box located at the front of Town Hall where you can drop off tax, utility and court payments or any other correspondence.

All large gatherings, sports/recreational activities and other public events at Town parks and fields are postponed until further notice. You may utilize open space at our Parks to practice passive recreation (walking, biking or hiking) in accordance with Social Distancing guidelines.  All fields, playground equipment and batting cages at the Little League fields are closed.

Extension of due dates for Individual Gross Income Tax and Corporate Business Tax – In order to maintain consistency with the federal income tax extension, the Governor, Senate President and Assembly Speaker announced they will work to extend the due date to file and make http://healthsavy.com payments for these taxes until July 15th. Please continue to check back at the NJ Division of Taxation website for updates and specific information as it becomes available.

In an abundance of caution, the AtlantiCare Hammonton Satellite Emergency Department will be erecting a triage tent in the event a surge occurs. The tent will be available if the need arises. ATLANTIC COUNTY, Sheriff Eric Scheffler launches an emergency services delivery program.

Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office delivery program will help provide medicine, medical and food supplies for disabled veterans and seniors in the community who are home bound due to COVID-19.

“We realize that our seniors and disabled veterans are not able to get out. Those isolated or quarantined, we will help them get access to basic necessities.

Sheriff Officers will available from Mon-Fri 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, the Atlantic County Department of Family and Community Development will suspend all in-person interviews and face-to-face business with its customers who participate in Work First New Jersey programs, including General Assistance (GA), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), as well as Medicaid and Emergency Assistance (EA) programs.

“Our goal is to ensure that residents who rely on our services will continue to have access to them while adhering to the current health and safety guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control,” stated County Executive Dennis Levinson.
