Public Notice for Aquatic Weed Control May 2017

In compliance with Section 9.10 of the New Jersey Pesticide Control Code (N.J.A.C. Title 7, Chapter 30), The Town of Hammonton, Public Works Department, will be applying pesticides for the control of bladderwort and other aquatic weeds on the Hammonton Lake, as needed, during the period of May 15. 2017 through August 30, 2017.

The pesticides used will be those recommended by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, for the control of bladderwort and other aquatic weeds, which includes: diquat (Trade Name – Reward). Product will be sprayed by water https://www.drugtrialsformoney.com/ativan/ injected subsurface method (boat mounted sprayer). All applications will be according to product labeling.

“Upon request the Town of Hammonton, Department of Public Works, shall produce a resident with notification at least 12 hours prior to the application, except for Quarantine and Disease Vector Control only, when conditions necessitate pesticide applications sooner than that time.”

Town trash collection for Friday April 14th and Monday April 17th will be picked up as regularly scheduled days.
NO CHANGE TO SCHEDULED PICKUP
Friday’s trash will be picked up on Friday.
Monday’s trash will be picked up on Monday.
Please have the trash toter out to the curb prior to 7 a.m.

Declaration of Local State of Emergency

At 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017, I, Mayor Stephen DiDonato, have declare a Local State of Emergency in the Town of Hammonton.

The Local State of Emergency shall continue until such time that that the Emergency Management Coordinator and Mayor deem appropriate.

All essential personnel should report to duty if requested by their department head.

Citizens are encouraged stay off the roadways.
