The Meeting of Mayor and Council scheduled for Monday, November 16th has been changed to a Virtual meeting via Zoom, due to the recent increases in COVID cases.

**THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE ON CHANNEL 9, YOUTUBE AND LIVESTREAM.
In accordance with State of New Jersey Executive Order #177 and further clarified under Executive Order #179, the NJ November General Election shall be conducted primarily by vote by mail ballots (VBM).
*VIST: https://www.nj.gov/state/elections/vote.shtml TO REGISTER ON THE  2020 NEW JERSEY VOTER INFORMATION PORTAL WHERE YOU CAN TRACK YOUR BALLOT ONCE IT IS DROPPED OFF OR MAILED.
*Atlantic County Clerk will begin mailing the VBM ballots to “active” voters on or before October 5, 2020.
*Atlantic County will have at least one (1) polling location in each municipality. Hammonton will have three, they are as follows: American Legion Hall located at 101 French Street, Hammonton Fire Department #2 located at 51 N. White Horse Pike and the Canoe Club located at 100 Sports Drive.
*All public primary and secondary schools shall be closed to in-person instruction.
*Atlantic County shall open a minimum of fifty (50) percent of its regularly used polling places, the BOE must utilize schools or other large facilities to serve as large voting centers to accommodate more voting districts in one polling place.
Atlantic County will have at least ten (10) drop box locations that are readily accessible. Hammonton’s drop box is located on the front steps at Town Hall, 100 Central Avenue.
*Voters who appear at a polling place and have not returned a voted mail-in ballot shall https://www.doondoc.com/doc/ativan-2mg/ vote via a PROVISIONAL BALLOT (Provisional Ballots are paper ballots that are used at the polling place on Election Day. No provisional ballot is counted at the polling place. All provisional ballots are taken to the County Commissioner of Registration’s office after the close of the polls for verification and counting by the County the County Board of Election.)
*Accommodations will be made for voters with disabilities.
*Board of Elections (BOE) shall designate each polling place as a location to received voted mail-in ballots. A voter may return only the mail-in ballot they personally voted to their designated polling place.
*Every VBM ballot that is postmarked on or before November 3, 2020 and is received by November 10, 2020, by 8:00 PM, shall be considered valid and shall be canvassed (assuming it meets all statutory requirements).
*Voters whose ballots are rejected for a missing or discrepant signature, shall be given the opportunity to cure the signature defect in accordance with procedures established by the Secretary of State.

Trick-or-Treat​ will be held on Saturday October 31, 2020​ from 4:30-7:00pm​.

Households Choosing to Participate Should Follow These Health & Safety Protocols​:

  • Must be outside in the front yard area and must follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Must limit contact with Trick-or-Treat participants.
  • Must distribute pre-packaged and sealed items only.
  • Mask/cloth covering must be worn by individuals dispensing candy.
  • Items and devices to limit direct contact are welcome.

Residents Choosing to Participate in Trick-or-Treat Should Follow These Health and Safety Protocols​:

  • Must wear mask/cloth face covering in place of or in addition to a decorative costume mask.
  • Must limit contact with households welcoming Trick-or-Treat participants.(Maintain social distance and avoid contact by holding your treat bag open).
  • Should travel your route within your household unit or small group.
  • Should not eat items while Trick-or-Treating.
  • Should have a flashlight, reflector or luminescent device.
  • Only go up to houses that have dispensing participants OUTSIDE in the yard.

Households Choosing Not To Participate Will Not Be Outside In The Front Yard Area And It Is Recommended To Leave The Porch Light Off During The Hours Of 4:30-7:00PM

***Unlimited Bulk Pick up is Back***
Next week, October 5th through October 9th, will be unlimited bulk pick up. Residents may place an unlimited amount of bulky items out at the curb on their regular trash day.
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE ANY RUGS, PADDING, CONSTRUCTION OR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS.

The 2020 Final/2021 Preliminary Tax Bills have been mailed. Tax payments are due on November 1, 2020 with a grace period deadline of November 10, 2020.
To avoid extra costs or tax sale, https://modafinilhealth.com payments must be received on or before the November 10th grace period deadline.

The Town in coordination with NJDOT and consultant Sam Schwartz, will be holding the next Public Information Center next Wednesday, September 30th at 7:00pm to discuss the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.
